It’s with many thanks to the Australian Scottish Heritage Council that the Clan Douglas Society of Australia has a tent provided at the 21st annual National Multicultural Festival in Canberra.
The Scottish Australian Heritage Council will be creating a ‘Celtic Village’ comprising of up to 20 tents located in Bunda Street, Civic (at the Mort Street end). The village will be co-located with the Scottish Australian Heritage Council tent and Stage 4, where the 5 hour “Celtic Ceilidh” will play.
Visitors will be able to enjoy the best that Canberra and the region has to offer with four Pipe Bands, individual and massed Pipe Band displays; two Ceilidh bands, the Canberra Scottish Fiddlers, the Canberra Celtic Choir, Highland and Scottish Country dancing and Irish dancing.
